Warburtons counts on five generations of expertise in baking and is the largest bakery brand in the UK. We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager for our Newton Abbot depot to help maintain quality, efficiency and delivery excellence.

As a Warehouse Shift Manager you will lead our night shift, set clear goals, sustain high standards and ensure products are delivered on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a shift team, motivating and training staff to operate safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, including distribution and manufacturing, to maintain high quality standards and smooth supply chain operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and generate ideas to help the team overcome challenges.
  • Manage workflow, staffing and resources for a 40.25 hour a week shift pattern (4 on 4 off Nights, 5 pm – 5 am).
Essential Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing a warehouse team.
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and generating ideas to help the team overcome challenges.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage, though not essential.
