Location: National, with rotations across central engineering and bakery sites

Contract: Permanent, 2-year rotational graduate programme

As a Construction Graduate, you’ll join Central Engineering and rotate across key functions that bring our capital projects to life. You won’t just observe—you’ll deliver meaningful work that contributes to multi-million-pound investments, high-performing bakeries, and the future of our infrastructure. This is your chance to gain a unique, end-to-end understanding of construction within a fast-moving manufacturing business not traditionally known for it—but absolutely committed to doing it brilliantly.

Key Accountabilities and Measures
  • You’ll contribute from day one, supporting and leading work across construction projects—from early design through to delivery on site.
  • Deliver projects On Time In Full (OTIF)—meeting customer requirements, budget and timeline expectations.
  • Champion Health & Safety—become a visible safety advocate and ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Enable commercial excellence—support negotiations, help manage contract sums, ensure correct legal precedents, and process all purchases through SAP.
  • Keep projects on track—own Gantt charts, site reports, and milestone tracking.
  • Build strong relationships—work closely with bakery teams, Central Engineering, Regional Directors, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
  • Collaborate and influence—communicate clearly and confidently as you grow your network across Warburtons.
  • Drive continuous improvement—use data and insight to challenge how we work and identify better ways of doing things.
