Role: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Wakefield
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off | Days and Nights
Salary: Circa £57,000 + Annual Profit-Related Bonus
We are excited to be recruiting Multi-Skilled Manufacturing Engineers to join our team at Bakery 41, our new Bakery in Wakefield. With brand-new equipment, next-generation automation and plenty of opportunity to shape how things are done, this is a role where you can really make your mark from day one.
The Recipe:
As a Multi-Skilled Manufacturing Engineer at Warburtons, you'll work collaboratively with production, safety and hygiene teams on shift, taking pride in how things are done. You'll deliver planned and preventative maintenance while developing reliable, future-proof engineering solutions that help set the standard for the site.
The Role:
- Keep our plant running at its best through high-quality preventative maintenance and fast, effective breakdown response.
- Drive improvements in asset reliability and performance, reducing losses through RCM and CBM activities.
- Use SAP PM effectively to plan, track and improve maintenance activities.
- Put safety first, ensuring all engineering work meets Health & Safety legislation, company policies and site standards.
- Maintain full compliance with quality and food safety standards, protecting product quality and our reputation.
- Champion a proactive engineering continuous improvement culture, improving maintenance activities and standard operating procedures.
Essential Ingredients:
- Electrical and Mechanical engineering experience.
- Fault Finding and Route Cause Analysis skills.
- Structured and practical engineering training (e.g. apprenticeship/HNC/degree).
- Knowledge and experience of maintenance preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- H&S knowledge e.g., PUWER, IOSH able to ensure a safe working environment.
- Analysing and problem-solving skills, anticipates problems before they occur and takes steps to deal with them.
