At Warburtons, family is at the heart of our business. Five generations' worth of expertise that goes into making our bakery products allows us to continue a tradition of baking inherited over the past 150 years. Warburtons is the largest bakery brand in the UK, but that doesn't allow us to rest on our laurels. We are pioneers of the industry and ambitious market leaders, always seeking to challenge ourselves and convention.

As the UK's No. 1 Bakery Brand we have been baking bread since 1876. Today, we are proudly a fifth-generation family, supplying over 18,000 retail customers from 11 bakeries and 16 depots, producing a range of over 70 products including gluten and wheat free. Family and values are what makes us different.

The Recipe: Help us grow our brand where it matters most in store. We're looking for an Instore Sales Territory Manager to take ownership of a key South East patch, covering South East London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. The territory includes towns such as Orpington, Dartford, Gravesend, Maidstone, Medway, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Crawley and Haywards Heath and more.

If you enjoy being out in the field, building strong retailer relationships and ensuring products are executed brilliantly on shelf, this role offers the ideal balance of autonomy, impact and pace.

The Role: As an Instore Sales Territory Manager, you'll manage a territory of approximately 200 customers, planning your own diary around sales opportunity and customer priority to drive growth in store. You'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering targeted daily visits across the Multiples, High Street and Convenience Channels.
  • Executing commercial plans with excellence, driving availability, promotions, POS and compliance.
  • Using data and insight to prioritise activity and focus on the biggest opportunities.
  • Leading NPD launches, supporting range reviews and landing planograms in store.
  • Building strong relationships with Store and Area Managers, Trading Managers and store owners.
  • Accurately recording activity using our field tools (tablet provided).
  • Working flexibly within a supportive Divisional team, while remaining highly self-motivated in a remote role.

You'll have clear ownership of your territory and play a vital role in strengthening our brand presence on shelf.

Essential Ingredients: To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Field sales, retail or FMCG/commercial experience (typically 3+ years).
  • Confidence turning store data into clear actions and measurable results.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels in store.
  • A proactive, well-organised approach to planning your day and managing your patch.
  • Comfort with regular travel and hands-on, store-based activity.
  • A strong team mindset collaborating closely with colleagues and cross-functional teams, even in a remote role.
  • Residence within the territory; candidates within reasonable commuting distance of Mid Kent will be well placed.
  • Regular travel across the area is required, with visits planned to balance efficiency and customer priorities.
  • Availability to start as soon as possible is preferred.

Extra Dough: At last and by no means least you will want to know what your bread's worth.

  • A slice of the annual profits (discretionary profit share).
  • Family time is important to us so as well as your holiday entitlement, we'll give you the opportunity to purchase up to an extra week's annual leave.
  • Award-winning pension scheme with company contributions of 7%.
  • Life assurance.
  • Products you will love along with deals and discounts for you and the family through our Extra Dough website.
  • Continued investment in your personal development.
  • Fully stocked kitchens filled with our delicious products for you to enjoy with your daily brew!
  • Support for your health and wellbeing, including access to free physiotherapy, 24/7 access to a confidential helpline for practical advice and a comprehensive occupational health service.
