If you're an Engineering Team Leader or Lead Engineer with experience in manufacturing and ready for your next challenge, you could be in the right place. Bakery 41 is our newest bakery in Wakefield and will become our 13th site, helping strengthen our UK-wide bakery network.
The Recipe:
- Lead the daily activities of the shift engineering teams, covering both breakdown response and planned preventative maintenance across the site.
- Focus on maximising plant reliability, performance, product quality and safety.
- Work within a business-led reliability strategy, making effective use of SAP PM to plan and manage maintenance activity.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in line with food safety legislation and compliance standards.
- Support the recruitment, development and engagement of the engineering team.
The Role:
- Ensure plant is safe to operate and maintain and personnel conform to health and safety legislation, policies and standards.
- Lead an engineering team to support the day-to-day operation by delivering planned and reactive maintenance to achieve engineering KPIs.
- Work within the framework of a Business led engineering reliability strategy.
- Maintain equipment in line with relevant food safety legislation.
- Support the recruitment, motivation and development of an engineering team.
Essential Ingredients:
- Structured and practical engineering training (e.g. apprenticeship/HNC/degree).
- Knowledge and experience of maintenance in an FMCG environment.
- Health & Safety/Food Safety systems and legislation knowledge.
- IT and PC knowledge.
- Communicating skills to develop effective relationships.
- Coaching and mentoring skills.
- Influencing and negotiating skills.
- Analysing and problem-solving skills.
- Project management techniques.
