We are looking for a personable and motivated individual with a keen interest in the Bakery Category. Working with the Major Multiple retailers you will be able to use compelling consumer, category and customer insights to develop and implement strong joint business plans with the customer, ensuring all targets are achieved.

Key Accountabilities and Measures:

  • To develop and deliver strong plans with the customer across range, activation, NPD, promotions and merchandising to achieve and exceed the targets set by the business.
  • To build effective customer relationships with key contacts in Trade, Marketing, store and supply functions, supporting a successful execution of the Joint Business Plan.
  • To prepare and manage successful trade negotiations, utilising expertise to ensure the best justifications are put forward to influence the retailer on range, promotions, NPD and cost.
  • To monitor and report on customer sales performance, recommending corrective actions and gaining agreement to solutions that will achieve budgeted numbers.
  • Input into the monthly Business Planning process, driving improvements in forecast accuracy.
  • To deliver the Category Plan within the customer, working well cross functionally with the Category teams expertise to ensure effective implementation at the point of purchase.

Essential Ingredients:

  • Previous sales and Commercial experience at National Account level, ideally within a Grocery / FMCG sales environment.
  • Excellent relationship builder - establishing credibility with both internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate data and work with complex spreadsheets on Microsoft Excel, as well as Power Bi & SAP systems experience.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills: with the ability to create impactful PowerPoint presentations to support both internal and external selling.
  • Strong ability to work cross functionally with other commercial functions internally such as Category, Shopper Marketing, Commercial Finance to deliver for Warburtons and the customer.
  • Good financial acumen and familiarity with P&Ls and a proven track record of budget delivery.
  • You will be ambitious in not only supporting our commercial plans, but also committed to your own personal development and growth.
  • Good knowledge of the Bakery Industry.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Hybrid working with 3 days a week in Bolton Head Office.
