Are you passionate about compliance and looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? The compliance coordinator will provide support to the compliance manager in ensuring the delivery of our Unbeatable Quality Strategy. You will assist in ensuring that the bakery & depots meet the legal and company food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
The Recipe: As the compliance coordinator you will complete internal site audits to schedule to ensure identified control measures are being adhered to. You will assist the compliance manager in the identification and implementation of appropriate hygiene standards along with ensuring the Document Manager System is kept up to date. You will be responsible for providing and collating appropriate information and monitoring data to ensure compliance and adherence to all relevant standards in the Quality Management System (QMS). You'll work closely with the site teams to ensure that the bakery meets internal and external food safety audit compliance (e.g. BRC) and all relevant food safety legislation.
Taking a lead in identifying areas within the bakery that will benefit from Continuous improvement. Relationship building is key as the compliance coordinator and you'll be able to establish credibility and develop relationships with internal contacts at all levels. Whilst this role is primarily based at Enfield, there will be an occasional need to travel to other sites to conduct internal audits. Therefore, a driving license is required for this position.
Essential Ingredients:
- Appreciation of food microbiology.
- Awareness of quality systems and external standards implementation.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and demonstrates the ability to use a variety of IT systems and applications.
- Knowledge of HS&E, food safety legislation and continuous improvement techniques.
- Demonstrates ability to follow complex instructions and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Ability to accurately capture and interpret complex data to aid good decision making within scope of role.
- Demonstrates problem solving and decision-making capability within broad scope, knowing when to escalate.
- Ability to develop new skills and knowledge of varying complexity to work across a multi-skilled Operations.
- Demonstrates attention for detail and a focus on quality.
- Can positively adapt to changes in work requirements, undertaking a variety of activities across the Operation to meet business needs.
- Full UK Driving License.
