The Recipe
- Youll receive a 6-week induction and support from our in-house driver training team.
- Youll be an early risershifts start around 04:00 (some patterns may vary). The upside? Your afternoons are all yours.
- Youll enjoy plenty of autonomy. Youll be given delivery notes (or an electronic device), from which youll accurately pick the orders and load your own vehicle with our baked goodseither at the depot or on the move.
- To help keep your day smooth and safe, knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and transport legislation (Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, Highway Code, etc.) will be key in order to relay faults on defect forms.
- Once your route for the day is loaded into your onboard computer, youre off!
- Youll deliver to multiple customers daily (theyre like family to us), so top-notch service, strong relationships, and professionalism are a must. This includes being able to manage difficult conversations in a calm manner and acting as an ambassador for our brand.
- Youll work a defined rotating 5-day pattern , including weekends. Thats 43 hours a week, though some weeks may be less. All of which will hopefully help you to plan your life around work more easily.

Youll also make sure each delivery is picked accurately and in full from your delivery notes or electronic device. About Us
In Banbury youll find our newly built distribution and consolidation centre, situated on the junction of the M40, giving us the very best access to the UKs motorway network. With almost 200 drivers and warehouse colleagues working on various shift patterns, its the biggest purpose-built distribution site for Warburtons, at 85,000 square feet.
We are currently delivering over 4 million items to our customers and Cross Docking 85,000 stacks of bread, this is equivalent to 559 double deck trailers or 965 single deck trailers, every four weeks. And were still growing!
Banbury is now a dedicated Test Centre for License Acquisition, developing our own talented bunch of drivers and supporting them through their required driving licences.
