This role is Monday to Friday with some flexibility needed to support operational needs (occasional start time variance and/or weekend work). Working closely with the Driver Operations Team at the site, you'll play a key role in supporting our teams by delivering driver training and assessments for both new and current team members. You'll lead by example, championing safe, economical, and professional driving standards and acting as an ambassador for excellence in driving.
Essential Ingredients:
- Holder of a current and up to date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence CPC and a Class 2 licence
- An experienced Driver Trainer or Driving Assessor
- Have an excellent knowledge of current Transport Legislation
Desirable Ingredients:
- Class I licence
- Experience delivering training across multiple depots
- Knowledge of advanced driver coaching techniques
In this collaborative role, you'll partner with the distribution team to ensure new drivers are smoothly onboarded, meeting all Company policies, health and safety guidelines, and legal requirements. You'll also support our existing drivers with ongoing training and development to help them excel in their roles. We're passionate about personal development, and you'll have the chance to implement a training schedule that supports drivers working towards higher category licences through Warburtons.
With previous experience in Distribution, you'll have a strong knowledge of transport legislation, including driver regulations, the mobile working time directive, and the Highway Code. A current CPC is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a passion for coaching and developing others.
