b Overview /b p In this role you ensure product quality and food safety across bakery operations, collaborating with Compliance, Production and Engineering to drive efficient, compliant production. You bridge baking artistry with technical precision, leading audits, trials, and data-driven quality improvements. You will act as the site quality lead when the Technical Manager is absent and support training across teams. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position with a clear impact on freshness, consistency and regulatory compliance. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Discretionary profit share /li li Extra week of annual leave via purchase /li li Pension scheme with 7% company contributions /li li Life assurance /li li Employee discounts /li li Continued investment in personal development /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Maintain and improve quality control procedures and conduct process audits to ensure specifications are met /li li Coordinate site bakery trials for ingredients, packaging and products in collaboration with the Centre Technical Team /li li Manage document control and ensure process specifications and production records are accurate and up-to-date /li li Oversee calibration schedules for quality and food safety monitoring equipment and liaise with engineers /li li Provide technical support and training to bakery staff on production processes and quality standards /li li Support HACCP and QMS internal audits and assist in maintaining BRC accreditation and external audits /li li Analyse production processes using data capture systems to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement /li li Generate regular quality performance reports and KPIs to inform decision-making /li li Lead or support internal audits and drive corrective actions as part of continuous improvement /li li Coordinate trials, analyse results and document outcomes to inform product and process improvements /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Experience in fast-paced food safety or quality control environments /li li Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Excel and related systems /li li Strong teamwork and collaboration /li li Ability to work independently and within a wider site function /li li Strong relationship-building and communication skills (written and verbal) /li li Good judgement and pragmatic, common-sense approach /li li High attention to detail and accuracy /li li Ability to prioritise, organise and manage a diverse workload /li li Experience with QMS data, quality data reporting and KPI tracking /li li Experience with audits (internal/external) and corrective actions /li li Training and coaching capability to promote quality culture /li /ul ul li Collaborative mindset /li li Strong communication /li li Proactive problem-solving /li li IT systems experience and advanced Excel /li li Data capture and monitoring systems /li li Document management systems /li /ul
