Overview

In this role you help underpin Warburtons' manufacturing efficiency by improving equipment reliability in a busy, automated bakery environment. You will work with the engineering team to implement preventative maintenance and root-cause driven improvements. Your work supports consistent product quality, safety, and uptime across a 24/7 operation. Responsibilities

  • Complete daily preventative maintenance tasks to high standards
  • Resolve breakdowns quickly to maximise plant reliability
  • Drive asset reliability improvements and reduce losses
  • Use SAP PM to manage maintenance activities
  • Develop maintenance approaches for bakery equipment
  • Ensure health and safety, quality, and food safety compliance
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to boost efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Collaborate with production, safety, and hygiene teams on cross-functional issues

Key requirements

  • Electrical and Mechanical engineering experience
  • Fault finding and root cause analysis skills
  • Structured engineering training (apprenticeship/HNC/degree)
  • Experience in maintenance, preferably FMCG
  • H&S knowledge (PUWER, IOSH)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Right to work in the UK (and visa sponsorship if needed)
