Overview
In this role you help underpin Warburtons' manufacturing efficiency by improving equipment reliability in a busy, automated bakery environment. You will work with the engineering team to implement preventative maintenance and root-cause driven improvements. Your work supports consistent product quality, safety, and uptime across a 24/7 operation. Responsibilities
- Complete daily preventative maintenance tasks to high standards
- Resolve breakdowns quickly to maximise plant reliability
- Drive asset reliability improvements and reduce losses
- Use SAP PM to manage maintenance activities
- Develop maintenance approaches for bakery equipment
- Ensure health and safety, quality, and food safety compliance
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to boost efficiency and reduce downtime
- Collaborate with production, safety, and hygiene teams on cross-functional issues
Key requirements
- Electrical and Mechanical engineering experience
- Fault finding and root cause analysis skills
- Structured engineering training (apprenticeship/HNC/degree)
- Experience in maintenance, preferably FMCG
- H&S knowledge (PUWER, IOSH)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Right to work in the UK (and visa sponsorship if needed)
