Contract: Permanent

Hours: 6.25 hours, 38 weeks (term time only)

Working pattern: 12.00pm - 1.15pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: Pathway 1, £3,440 - £3,494 per annum (FTE £24,413 - £24,796)

Site: Warboys Primary Academy

Responsibilities

As a Play Worker, you’ll be part of our dedicated play team, ensuring every child enjoys meaningful, active, and creative lunchtime play. You’ll help create a safe and stimulating outdoor environment, support positive social interactions, and make lunchtime a happy, inclusive experience. From facilitating imaginative play to assisting in the dining hall, you’ll be a key figure in promoting our school ethos and safeguarding children’s welfare. You’ll need to be friendly, approachable, and confident working with children aged 4‑11. Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and a caring attitude are essential.

Qualifications

  • Desirable: experience in play work or first aid.
  • Essential: enthusiasm, flexibility, commitment to values, clear communication, calm problem‑solving, and energy for lunchtime activities.
