Waracle are looking for a React Native Developer for an exciting new role joining our world‑class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology‑driven transformation. We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business‑critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations. This is a Hybrid role, offering the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life, with 2 days a week spent connecting with colleagues in our London office.
Role Overview
As a React Native Developer, you will be a vital part of our collaborative engineering team. This is a role designed for someone who takes pride in technical excellence and enjoys the journey of building intelligent digital products from the ground up.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Technical Excellence & Delivery: Designing and delivering end‑to‑end features and small subsystems; optimising app performance, accessibility, and responsiveness; and being accountable for successful delivery of features.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Explaining technical trade‑offs in plain language; and presenting demos confidently to clients and stakeholders to shape tactical direction.
- Leadership & Team Collaboration: Leading delivery of specific features or workstreams; and mentoring junior colleagues in both craft and process.
- Culture & Community of Practice: Regularly mentoring others across the practice; and representing Waracle in interviews and recruitment panels. Participating in ad‑hoc duties from time to time as required by management.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Proven experience as a Software Developer in a high‑paced digital environment.
- Proficiency in modern development frameworks, with experience in mobile development using React Native with Expo and backend/integration work using Python.
- Solid understanding of Git and branching strategies, along with experience working in CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with unit testing, API integration, and applying best practices for mobile and full‑stack development.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a willingness to work closely with stakeholders.
