Role Overview
Waracle is seeking a Lead Developer/Architect to shape the technical direction on a key client project. This role is instrumental in creating a stable, scalable, and efficient foundation for our clients' digital products. You will be responsible for defining the technical strategy and planning for cross-platform technology delivery, ensuring a seamless transition from the client's current application estate to their future vision.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Technical Architecture: Plan and specify the approach for cross-platform delivery, including the creation of High-Level Designs (HLDs) to align all stakeholders on the project vision. You will ensure the foundational architecture is scalable and maintainable.
- Integration Strategy and Plan: Develop detailed architecture diagrams and API specifications to enable seamless communication between different systems and tools.
- Code Migration/Rebuild Plan: Maintain oversight and quality control of technical deliverables. This includes understanding the transition from a client's current to future state, and developing a plan for potential migrations, such as from AWS to Azure.
- Agentic AI and Personalisation Approach: Interrogate client requirements and translate them into technical delivery specifications. This includes developing an approach for delivering tailored user experiences.
- Security/Customer Data Strategy and Plan: As a key member of the team, you will ensure a robust plan for protecting customer data and maintaining security.
- Break down complex technical roadmaps into logical, manageable deliverables.
- Lead or act as a principal developer, leveraging expertise in React and Node.js.
Job Requirements
- Architectural Expertise: Proven experience in a technical lead or principal developer role, with a strong background in multi-platform architecture (NextJS, NestJS, APIs).
- Technical Planning: Extensive experience with discovery and technical planning activities, including the creation of HLDs, architecture diagrams, and API specifications.
- Platform Proficiency: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with technologies like React, Node.js, and various CMS platforms.
- Integration & Infrastructure: Practical knowledge of integrations and infrastructure, with the ability to plan for and specify cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to understand a client's existing application landscape and devise a clear, phased strategy for future development.
- Quality and Oversight: A strong commitment to quality control and a proven track record of maintaining oversight on complex technical projects.
