Waracle is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our world-class digital technology consultancy. This role is available on Fixed-Term Contract for 7 months initially to help drive quality and scalability in our latest projects. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a vital role in defining our quality approaches, building scalable automation frameworks, and championing best practices across the development lifecycle.
  • This role isn't just about finding bugs; it’s about collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving continuous innovation, and acting as a trusted mentor to help others grow.
  • Strategy & Collaboration: Shaping testing approaches for complex features, embedding risk analysis into the workflow, and guiding exploratory testing efforts.
  • Framework Architecture: Building and evolving modular, reusable, and scalable automation components, and seamlessly integrating quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
  • NFR Integration: Designing and automating tests for performance, security, and accessibility to ensure quality is built-in from the very start.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Supporting and mentoring other QAs to help them grow their skills, and providing encouraging, constructive feedback through peer code reviews.
  • Community & Inclusion: Leading QA knowledge-sharing sessions and owning community initiatives such as accessibility or regression standards.

  • QA Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of QA best practices, methodologies (SDLC, Agile), and a strategic mindset for ensuring deep test coverage.
  • Automation Mastery: Advanced automation skills using Playwright, with the confidence to build, extend, and maintain scalable testing frameworks while focusing on high code quality.
  • Programming Skills: Practical, hands-on experience using C# to interact with and test web applications.
  • Technical Mastery: Well-rounded experience across functional, non-functional, white-box, and security testing fundamentals.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive defect management, strong triage leadership skills, and the ability to anticipate risks before they arise.
  • Communication & Domain Adaptability: Excellent collaboration skills, with an ability to explain complex technical ideas simply to both teams and clients, alongside a natural curiosity to learn new project domains quickly.
