The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
You will be required to undertake a comprehensive repair and maintenance service to mechanical/retail equipment at various locations throughout the UK. You will be requested to fit/strip retail equipment components, straighten and weld to the required standard and carry out general maintenance duties at various sites of work. You may also be required to carry out special assembly works on a variety of products within our service sector and carry out reactive maintenance and planned preventative inspections and testing on various electro-mechanical equipment.
On occasions you may be required to work at locations that are deemed too far from home to return, which may result in overnight stays away from home. You should be aware of the standard of works required within the service level agreements between Wanzl Group and their customers and seek clarity if you deem necessary from the Service Office.
Responsibilities- Complete end of job reports, time sheets and other required documentation with timely and accurate information on work activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the service to the customer, highlight gaps in service/standards or issues, and take appropriate action to resolve them (escalating to Manager if needed).
- Utilise the Company’s Service Management system and follow guidelines to complete daily records; perform mandatory daily vehicle checks before departing from overnight locations; record all parts usage in the system; raise training requirements if needed.
- Ensure personal health & safety and the safety of others; follow safe working procedures and company protocol for reporting accidents, near misses or store-specific issues.
- Comply with the Company Vehicle Information policy and report incidents, accidents, theft, damage or faults to the Fleet Department as required.
- Be aware of the Company Policy relating to provision of working equipment and report any damage or loss of equipment immediately.
- Attend relevant training sessions as deemed necessary by the group, subject to reasonable notice.
- Offer full assistance to the Company in achieving any reasonable requests where possible.
- Must live in Oxford/Gloucester/Swindon location.
- Must have a solid mechanical understanding, be reliable, customer focused and flexible.
- Previous experience in MIG welding advantageous.
- Ideally suited to individuals from a mechanical background.
- Mainly working in external locations from a custom fitted vehicle.
- Full driving licence essential with minimal endorsements.
- To comply with Wanzl’s Facial Hair Policy, you must be clean shaven to wear the required Respiratory Protective Equipment; alternative RPE is provided for those with relevant religious beliefs or medical conditions.
