About this Role
This position may include time in Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on the candidate, their experiences and preferences. We work hard to shape roles and develop people.

The role will ideally be full time 5 days a week (Monday - Friday 8.30 - 3.30).
This role will involve some work within the classroom(s); some of therole involves running intervention groups with identified pupils in class and working to support individuals and groups.
The candidate will be primarily based in one class but may also work with other pupils.
In Class
- Supportthe class teacher with the classroom setting, environment and displays
- Recorddetailed observations of children within the setting and identify next stepsusing an online tracker
- Communicateeffectively with the class teachers and principal to support assessment andplanning.
- Build upthe children's independence, recognising the level of scaffolding needing tosupport and facilitate positive learning and independence
- Work bothwithin the classroom and within outside learning area, supporting the children'slearning
- Establishconstructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according toindividual needs.
- Promotethe inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
- Encouragepupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
Interventions
- Leadinterventions based on focus pupils, fulfilling their specific targets andobjectives.
- Setchallenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem andindependence.
- Bridgegaps in the children's learning so they can fulfil their potential.
- Ensurethat interventions are timely and effective, recognising next steps.
- Alongsideclass teachers, plan and assess suitable interventions
