The Wizards is HCAT’s specialist SEMH provision supporting children who need a bespoke, nurturing pathway to help them develop emotional understanding, social skills and positive learning behaviours. The team works closely with home schools and uses restorative approaches to help pupils feel safe, regulated and ready to learn.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Achievement Support Assistant to join The Wizards at Dorchester Primary School. The role involves delivering tailored programmes, supporting emotional regulation and working with external agencies to secure strong outcomes for each child.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored programmes for pupils
- Support emotional regulation and behavioural development
- Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to secure positive outcomes
Required Qualifications and Experience
- ASA experience with SEMH/ASD pupils
- Communicates effectively with staff, families, and agencies
- Shows empathy and understands the challenges children may face
- Uses restorative practice confidently
