Hours: 8:00-20:00 4 on 4 off (Day shift) and 20:00-08:00 4 on 4 off (Night shift). We need 2 officers (1 Day, 1 Night). Location: Central London. Pay Rate: £14.32 per hour.
Role Summary: The position requires officers to have exceptional customer service skills, work well in a team, conduct patrols, respond to emergencies, have excellent communication skills and be well presented at all times. The purpose of the role is the safety and security of people, property and assets. Positive customer service, effective communication and visibility are crucial when interacting with customers, the public and emergency services. Security must identify risks that threaten the business and reputation and take appropriate action. Continuous training is required as policies, procedures and technology evolve.
Responsibilities:
- Wear the correct uniform, PPE, SIA Badge and always present clean and smart.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and engage positively with every person.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with the Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessment.
- Follow relevant customer policy and procedures.
- Utilise access control systems to ensure building perimeter security integrity.
- Use CCTV, systems and alarms to monitor and detect risk and suspicious activity.
- Deter crime and anti-social behaviour through awareness of behaviour and intelligence.
- Conduct relevant testing of security and safety systems.
- Perform internal and external patrols as required.
- Report incidents accurately and timely, following the correct escalation model.
- Collaborate with Emergency Services, including evidence detection and protection.
- Support the customer’s brand and culture and follow reasonable requests.
Person Specification:
- SIA Licence for specific site (Door Supervision).
- Previous security experience within a 5-star hotel.
- Conscientious, alert and strong attention to detail.
- Adapts to changing priorities, flexible and collaborative.
- Punctual, reliable, committed, demonstrating respect for colleagues.
- Highest standards of integrity, maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
