About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Biology teacher to collaborate with our team in elevating student attainment and achievement. The ideal candidate should possess a strong passion for science and excellent subject knowledge to motivate students towards embracing STEM subjects and exploring related career opportunities. The science faculty comprises 10 fully equipped labs and a classroom; each teacher is assigned a dedicated lab along with two office spaces and a fully equipped kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Biology (KS5 preferred) and all sciences up to KS4.
- Deliver engaging lessons in fully equipped labs and classroom settings.
- Ensure effective classroom management and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Use shared drive resources and teaching timelines managed by Heads of Departments.
- Collaborate with the Lead Practitioner to identify and support underperforming students.
- Receive mentorship within the faculty for new teachers and provide peer support.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology.
- Ability to teach biology to KS5 and all sciences to KS4.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Experience working in a science department with dedicated labs.
