  • Insurance Support Officer
  • £30,000 per annum – Permanent – Full Time – Hybrid (2 Office Days per week)

This is a great opportunity to join the Finance team at Wandle Housing Association. We're looking for a highly supportive individual to join as the Insurance Support Officer.

You will provide administrative and operational support to the Insurance & Risk Management function.

This role is ideal for an early-career professional or graduate seeking hands-on experience in insurance operations.

It is structured to offer on-the-job training, mentoring, and exposure to core insurance processes.

The position may transition to a permanent role depending on business needs and performance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Logging & tracking Insurance claims – Including maintaining the claims register, assisting in managing claims (PL, EL, Property & Motor) and supporting monthly reporting.
  • Managing the insurance mailbox and correspondence – Ensuring timely responses and proper filing and liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting documentation for claims and support with renewals – Gathering supporting evidence for claims defensibility, interpreting policy schedules, and assisting with policy renewals.
  • Updating data systems/ Project support – Tracking claims trends and ensuring accurate insurance records & provide support with various Insurance projects.

What we are looking for

  • Early-career professional or recent graduate – This role is designed for someone at the start of their career.
  • Demonstrated interest in insurance, risk, or property – through academic projects, internships, or work experience.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills – with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – confident engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel – comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and dashboards etc.
  • Motivated, and eager to learn with a proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative.
  • Experience in a corporate, finance, or insurance environment (even in a support or internship capacity) will be highly regarded.
