Wanderlust Wine, a dynamic and innovative wine company, is seeking a team member to join our warehouse team and help with deliveries for our customers. We are looking for another key member of the team that is a hybrid role to ensure customer orders are fulfilled correctly. This role would be ideal for someone who has flexibility in their schedule and wants additional income.
Position Overview: We have a warehouse team which is under pressure and we need a flexible, part-time team member to come on board and help with customer orders; picking, sorting, repacking and also to be able to drive between our warehouses and deliver stock when we need. As a Warehouse Assistant & Delivery Driver at Wanderlust Wine, you will be an essential part of our team, responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our restaurant customers throughout London and Home Counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pack wine bottles, cases, and other products based on customer orders.
- Ensure orders are correctly packed, labelled, and ready for dispatch.
- Safely transport wine orders to restaurant locations within London and Home Counties.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive delivery experience.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, invoices, and payment collections.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Flexibility between being out delivering orders for the day or working with our warehouse team, depending on demands.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to handle and transport wine carefully and responsibly.
- Punctual, reliable, and responsible.
- Friendly, nice mannered and a people-person.
- Knowledge of London streets and routes is an advantage.
