Logistics & Improvement Manager / Final Mile Delivery

Location: South London | Hybrid working | Full-time

Salary: Up to £45k

The Role

In this important role, you'll take the lead in optimising their logistics operations and, alongside the commercial team, help bring new clients on board. You'll collaborate across the business to ensure their processes are always improving and running smoothly, with a strong focus on delivering top-notch service at every step. Whether you're developing strategies or guiding your team, the work you do will make a real difference to their success.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operational leadership: Continuously improving logistics workflows and supply chain processes to boost efficiency and reduce costs, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Team management: Leading and mentoring a team of logistics coordinators, ensuring top performance and fostering their development.
  • Client focus: Acting as the main point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are resolved swiftly.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in logistics or supply chain management who enjoys the challenge of improving processes while helping the business grow. You’ll need to be a great communicator, have a talent for solving problems, and be confident in leading a team.

You’ll need:

  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management, particularly final mile delivery
  • A proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
  • Strong relationship-building skills to help bring in new business and maintain client satisfaction
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Excellent organisational skills to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Proficiency in Category management and Business processes
  • Experience with Transportation and Warehouse management systems
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and AS400 would be beneficial
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Previous experience in 3PL and Shipping & Receiving
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively
  • Organisational skills to manage complex logistics operations
