Job Description

Head of People & Culture – Exeter

Think you can build a brilliant culture that feels more like a shared adventure than just another job?

We're looking for someone who knows HR inside out, but more importantly, someone who actually cares. Someone who wants to lead with empathy, create the kind of employee experience people rave about, and make sure the culture evolves as the team does.

This is a full-time role, based in the heart of Exeter, and comes with a 4-day working week (yes, really) and the chance to work with a team that's creative, collaborative and genuinely passionate about what they do.

You’ll have the autonomy to shape everything from onboarding to wellbeing initiatives, run the show when it comes to people ops, and design moments of joy across the business – socials, benefits, and those little touches that make work feel good.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • 4+ years’ experience in HR or People & Culture
  • A recognised HR qualification (CIPD Level 5 or above)
  • A confident, compassionate approach to people management
  • A solid grasp of UK employment law and best practice
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working in-office in Exeter (initially 4 days a week – moving to hybrid after 6 months)
  • A creative, people-first mindset

If you're qualified, values-driven, and want to work somewhere that still believes people are the most important part of any company – this could be the one.

Relocation support provided. Passion for video games a welcome bonus.

Please send CV's across to hello@wearewander.co.uk and we'll do the rest.
