*Job Overview* _Walton Street Cycles is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our busy team. _
_The role offered is a mechanic position focusing on all aspects of the bicycle industry but with more focus on bicycle repairs. This position is within our mobile mechanic division, providing on site repairs for our clients across Oxfordshire and supporting our hire bike located at various client sites (within a 100 mile radius)._
_We are looking for someone who is an experienced mechanic. _
_Overall, we want someone friendly and hardworking who has a genuine passion for cycling. We are a sociable bunch and have fun while we work. _
_We specialise in all types of bikes and cycling, and we get to see all of the latest product on the market as well as very early technology. We take pride in being able to fix anything. _
_Our current new bike brands include; Brompton, Scott, Raleigh, Ridgeback, Genesis, Pashley, Kona, Gazelle, Dawes, Claud Butler, Roland & PUKY but take pride in being able to fix anything. _
*Duties*
* _Proven mechanical knowledge, preferably with experience in bicycle repair or similar fields_ * _Assessing and repairing customers bikes_ * _Building new bikes _ * _Maintaining hire bike fleet _ * _Reconditing used bikes _ * _Liaising with customers about their requirements (both repairs and sales)_ * _Working with and eventually running mobile ‘Bike Dr’ events_ * _Assisting customers find the best solution for their cycling requirements _ * _Assisting cycle tours, holidays and cycle rentals _

_We are Oxfordshire’s oldest and largest bicycle shop; we are proud of our heritage and always strive to provide our customers with a great experience. We run a very busy shop, rental fleet, tours and workshop taking pride in our repairs, we believe in honest hard work and providing ongoing training and development skills for all members of staff – we want our team to be the best and invest in achieving this. _
_We are an accredited Shimano Service Centre a premium Shimano Electric bike centre. We have the best equipped and largest workshop in Oxford._
_We currently have 18 full time members of staff and 2 part time members. _

_Enrolment within our in-house training programme to continuously improve mechanical skills and keep up with modern technology._
_External supplier training and accreditation (Shimano Service Centre, Brompton, etc). _
_eBike training and accreditation (Bosch and Shimano)._
_Although we do all work very hard, we also like to play hard to, there is a vibrant social life and great comradery within the workplace which we are keen to retain. _
_Used bikes can be sold through the shop but must be completed in personal time and offered with a 3-month guarantee._

* Holiday entitlement is 28 days calculated pro-rata on full pay per annum. We are open on bank holidays and anytime off will need to be booked in advance.
Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
