We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and diverse team at Walton Lodge, based at our Ware branch. This is a 12 month fixed-term maternity cover role.
Your typical week will include consultations in the mornings and afternoons. After consultations, you will spend the rest of your day liaising with inpatients and their owners regarding further workups required, or you will be on theatre duties, completing the surgeries booked in for that day. We work to high general practice standards and handle an interesting and varied caseload.

We are happy to consider part-time applications for this role. This part-time permanent position involves working 30 hours over 3 days per week, including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. There are no out-of-hours commitments. Our clinic operates from 8am - 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 1pm on Saturdays.
Walton Lodge Veterinary Group Ltd was co-founded in September 2000 by Helen Lee BVSc, MRCVS, and her partner Rodney Pugh. We have six well-equipped surgeries located in Bengeo, Bishop's Stortford, Harlow, Hoddesdon, Stevenage, and Ware. Recently, we have expanded, opening three new practices across Stevenage and Hoddesdon, and our Ware practice has been refitted and extended.

Walton Lodge is home to a dedicated team of 8 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, and 11 Receptionists. Our senior Veterinary Surgeon, Helen Lee, qualified from Bristol University in 1984 and has worked in Hertfordshire since 1985 as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon. We strongly encourage CPD, and our team actively engages in professional development.
