Job Introduction

We seek an analytical, curious and innovative ICTTechnician to join a dynamic and supportive Academy. You will have theopportunity to share expertise across a growing group of Academies andindependent schools within United Learning. As the ICT Technician youwould provide responsive, high-quality IT support to staff and students,keeping the Academy’s devices, cloud services, classroom technology, telephonyand network running smoothly and securely. You will need to be able to workindependently, with initiative, and be flexible.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providefirst and second line support to staff and students in person, remotelyand through the IT helpdesk, logging, prioritising and resolving ticketswithin agreed service levels
  • Diagnoseand resolve hardware, software, operating system, account and connectivityissues on client devices, escalating to the ICT Network Manager orthird-party suppliers where appropriate
  • Provideurgent classroom support so that disruption to teaching and learning iskept to a minimum
  • Produceclear how-to guides and knowledge base articles, and deliver informaltraining to help users become more self-sufficient
  • Build,enrol and deploy Windows 11 devices for staff and students as MicrosoftEntra ID (Azure AD) joined devices managed through Microsoft Intune,including Windows Autopilot provisioning
  • Monitordevice compliance, configuration profiles, Windows Update rings andBitLocker encryption, and remediate non-compliant devices
