We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and student-focused individual to join our team as a Lecturer in Public Services. The successful candidate will ideally have industry experience within either the Armed Forces, Police, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance Service, or other Emergency Services, together with experience of teaching Uniformed Public Services.
The role involves delivering a range of Level 1-3 qualifications, including BTEC Applied General, NCFE, WJEC Criminology, and Psychology. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, high-quality learning experiences, assessing student work, providing timely and constructive feedback, and supporting students to achieve their full potential. The role also includes monitoring learner progress through regular one-to-one tutorials, providing personalised guidance, and responding effectively to the individual needs of students.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Policing, Law, Criminology, Psychology, Public Services, or a related discipline. Applicants should possess a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.

A student-centred approach, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment are essential.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the wider student experience through enrichment activities, including supporting the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, educational visits, and overnight residentials. A willingness to actively engage in these activities and promote students' personal development is highly desirable.
