An opportunity to work at the heart of college governance.

We are looking for a highly organised and professional Governance Officer to join our Governance team and provide high-quality support to the Director of Governance, our Corporation and its Committees.

This is an interesting and varied role for someone who enjoys working with senior stakeholders, has excellent attention to detail and can confidently manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Working closely with the Director of Governance, you will help ensure that our governance arrangements run smoothly and effectively. You will coordinate Corporation and Committee meetings, manage meeting schedules and governance documentation, maintain governor records and our Governor Hub, and support the preparation and servicing of meetings.

You will also work with report writers to ensure papers are prepared to agreed deadlines, coordinate meeting arrangements and maintain accurate records relating to governor appointments, attendance, declarations of interest and development.

About you

You will be someone who is highly organised, accurate and comfortable working with confidential and sometimes sensitive information.

You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent IT skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of people. You will be able to work independently, prioritise your workload and meet deadlines, while maintaining a consistently high standard of work.

Experience of governance or policy work would be advantageous, alongside experience of minute taking and drafting professional documents.
