Responsibilities
Walter P Moore has an immediate opening for a Senior Modeler to join our dynamic team. A Senior Modeler is responsible for applying extensive knowledge of detailing principles and practices across broad areas. They primarily ensure the accuracy and constructability of project models, manage a team of professionals, set project direction, outline goals, and execute project plans. Their roles include complex modeling, planning, organization, quality control, technical supervision, and staff development.
- Build concept models and connections to ensure alignment with the design team.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering consultants to develop engineering solutions.
- Oversee designs, review project specifications, and interpret applicable codes and standards.
- Guide and assist other modelers regarding codes, design criteria, and software.
- Provide guidance on Walter P Moore assessment techniques, modeling standards, processes, and quality.
- Promote and communicate our Extraordinary Client Experience (ECX), Employee Experience (EEX), and our vision, mission, and purpose.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years in Tekla steel detailing on complex projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to engage individuals and teams to complete tasks or projects.
- Ability to mentor, lead, build partnerships, and collaborate effectively.
- Experience working on diverse design teams for various building or project types.
- Strong client-service attitude with multitasking capabilities.
