Senior Modeler – Construction Modeling
Walter P Moore is an international engineering, architecture and construction firm that designs solutions for complex structural and infrastructure challenges.
The Senior Modeler will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and constructability of our project models.
Responsibilities
- Build concept models and connections to ensure alignment with the design team.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering consultants to develop engineering solutions.
- Oversee designs, review project specifications, and interpret applicable codes and industry standards.
- Guide and assist other modelers on issues such as codes, design criteria, and software.
- Provide guidance to team members regarding Walter P Moore assessment techniques, modeling standards, processes, and quality.
- Promote, exhibit, and communicate our Extraordinary Client Experience (ECX), Extraordinary Employee Experience (EEX), 5 Coordinates, vision, mission, and purpose.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years in Tekla steel detailing on complex projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage individuals and teams to complete tasks or projects.
- Ability to mentor and lead individuals and teams, build partnerships, and collaborate with others to meet shared objectives.
- Demonstrated career growth that includes experience working on design teams for a variety of building or project types.
- Strong client‑service attitude with the ability to multitask and accomplish multiple priorities.
- Strong time‑management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced environment.
