Our site working hours are 08:00AM - 17:30PM. The Assistant Site Manager will be based in Windlesham, Surrey, with flexibility to attend projects in London and the Home Counties.

The Role

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will oversee the safe, efficient and timely delivery of all site operational aspects of the project. Contributing to day-to-day short-term project planning, you’ll ensure that project delivery is consistent with our strategy, goals and quality standards, contribute to effective communication between teams and assist with organising contractors. You’ll ensure compliance with health and safety standards and contract requirements, motivating teams to achieve their weekly targets and promoting a culture of teamwork.

Additionally, you will:

  • Assist with the production of the Site Environmental Plan
  • Contribute to the Design and Procurement Schedule
  • Contribute to construction design detailing
  • Produce progress reports

About You

To be considered as an Assistant Site Manager, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good working knowledge of safe systems of work
  • Good knowledge of programme management and control
  • An understanding of the importance of change management and the associated risks
  • An understanding of critical path activities and potential mitigation measures
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to use all MS Office applications and basic working knowledge of Asta Power Project
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications

A full, valid driving licence would be beneficial to your application, as would experience in the science & higher education sector.
