About The Role & Team
Walt Disney Imagineering makes the impossible possible, by combining innovation and storytelling to bring Disney stories, characters, and worlds to life. Imagineering is the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its talented corps of Imagineers is responsible for the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects. Disney Imagineers are uniquely talented individuals that bring together the best aspects of creativity, innovation, and passion.
This role is responsible for tactical project management of small to large projects from blue sky to close out. You will regularly interface with creative, technical, engineering and construction disciplines in the delivery of show/ride design and systems throughout the life of the project. You will also act as frontline manager responsible for monitoring budget and ensuring that delivery schedule is met. This role will require you to be onsite in the London office 4 days a week. This role is a fixed‑term contract until Dec 2029.
What You Will Do
- Assist in managing the entire scope of a small project or scope of work that is self‑contained and definable
- Integrate project information with all parties involved
- Assist in presentations to executive management on project status
- Assist in scheduling, estimating, and budgeting within project scope
- Independently perform virtual design and construction simulation; lead work of coordinator, support staff, and/or intern
- Begin to take on responsibility for a full project under the guidance of a more senior project manager
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to think strategically and tactically about complex issues and problem‑solve to resolution
- Ability to comfortably communicate in presentation, conversation, and written correspondence to project team, senior management, consultants, and partners
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and teamwork/partnering ability
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Degree in a WDI core discipline such as Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, or advanced business degree or equivalent experience
