WALSTEAD ROCHE, one of the UK’s leading web offset printers, has a vacancy for their site based in Cornwall.
Salary: £37,500 per annum + overtime opportunities at double time.
Working hours: 42 hours per week average across 3-4 shifts. Working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for 4 weeks, then rotating to Thursday, Friday, Saturday for 4 weeks and every other Sunday day shift on rotation from 6.00am-18.00pm with a 1 hour paid break.
Responsibilities include:
- Repairs, servicing and maintenance of all production related equipment.
- Fault diagnosis and repair.
- Continuous improvement project/task work.
- General site facilities tasks.
We require a multi-skilled electrical and engineering Technician (Electromechanical) who can complete both electrical and mechanical jobs across a wide range of manufacturers' machines to fault diagnose, repair, complete preventative servicing and other general site facilities tasks.

The successful candidate must have:
- A recognised industrial Electrical qualification, with training and qualification to IEE 18th/19th edition preferred.
- Experience working on drives and PCBs.
- Ability to work solo as an Electromechanical Engineer diagnosing, repairing and performing servicing tasks which are both electrical and mechanical.
- Competent to operate a lathe.
- MIG/TIG welding skills preferable although not essential.
- Good communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination.
