We are looking for a Registered Manager to lead a small adult residential service in Finchley, North London. The role is a key leadership position within a values-led social care charity supporting adults with autism and mental health needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality, safety and performance of the service and for driving a values-based culture that supports retention and effective care delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop your staff team.
  • Ensure full CQC compliance and readiness for inspections.
  • Manage budgets and occupancy.
  • Drive safe recruitment and robust onboarding.
  • Embed values-based practice across the service.
  • Oversee safeguarding and risk management.
  • Work closely with families and external professionals.
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and care planning.
  • Make final hiring decisions for the service, using a standard values-based framework.
  • Be a visible, approachable and supportive manager, balancing performance expectations with staff well-being.
  • Ensure regular on-site presence and engagement with service users.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy ready to step up.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting adults with autism and/or mental health needs.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a residential setting.
  • Solid knowledge of UK safer recruitment and employment law.
  • Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or working towards).
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
