Service Description
Lion Road provides person‑centred support to adults with a learning disability, some of whom may also have additional diagnoses such as autism, epilepsy, or dementia. While the people we support (PWS) may require assistance with personal care, medication administration, and support with behaviours that may challenge, the service promotes independence while ensuring safety and well-being. Staff support individuals with activities of daily living, community engagement, and access to meaningful opportunities that enhance their quality of life.
Staffing Requirements
- Seeking a bank staff who is flexible, responsive, and experienced in supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Applicants should be confident in delivering personal care and prepared to support individuals who may present with behaviours that challenge, if needed.
- Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches is desirable.
Working Environment
The service is staffed 24/7, including waking night shifts and sleep‑ins. Support is typically provided on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis, although shared support may be required for group activities or outings.
