HR Operations Specialist

Location: Glasgow – Office-based with some UK travel.

Salary: £30,000 – £33,500 per annum plus excellent benefits package.

Our client is a dynamic and growing business with around 500 employees across the UK and EU. As a lean and collaborative HR team, they support a broad range of operational responsibilities across the employee lifecycle. Key Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ experience in an HR operations or transactional HR role
  • Familiarity with UK employment law (EU experience a plus)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience using HRIS systems (Cascade/IRIS desirable)
  • Comfortable working in a lean, multiskilled team (e.g. HR, payroll, H&S)
  • Excel and HR reporting skills
  • CIPD Level 3 or higher (or studying towards) would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Manage onboarding, offboarding and employee changes
  • Draft contracts and verify right-to-work checks
  • Ensure data accuracy in the HRIS and coordinate with payroll
  • Support compliance with UK/EU laws, GDPR, and internal policies
  • Act as first point of contact for employee queries on contracts, pay and policies
  • Provide guidance to managers and escalate complex issues where needed
  • Maintain records and generate regular HR reports
  • Contribute to process improvements and HRIS implementation
