About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established and highly regarded law firm with over 100 years of history. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Legal Cashier to join its busy and supportive team in Windsor. This is an important position within the finance function, offering the opportunity to play a central role in maintaining the firm’s financial accuracy, compliance, and day-to-day efficiency. This role would suit a candidate with strong law firm accounts experience, a solid understanding of legal cashiering processes, and the confidence to work accurately in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is essential.
Key Requirements
- Considerable experience within the legal industry
- Previous experience working in a law firm accounts department
- Strong knowledge of legal accounting rules and client account procedures
- Good understanding of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Accounts Rules
- Experience maintaining client and office ledgers
- Confident processing a range of financial transactions including bank transfers, cheques, electronic payments, CHAPS, BACS, and online payments
- Experience carrying out bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Ability to support month-end and year-end financial processes
- Good knowledge of accounting systems and legal practice management software
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general accounting software skills
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
