The predicted salary is between 64000 - 96000 £ per year.

Location: UK-wide (Remote or Office-Based: Bristol, Cheltenham, London)

Client Site Visits: Farnborough, Winchester, or London (1–2 days/week)

Salary: £80-100k

British Nationals only (unfortunately for this role we cannot accept dual nationality). Due to the secure nature of this work all applicants will be required to gain UK Security Clearance to at least SC level. You must have been resident in the UK for at least the last 5 years and cannot have been outside the UK for more than 28 days on any one occasion within this time.

Our client is a specialist consultancy delivering bespoke, secure technical solutions to address some of the UK Government’s most complex operational challenges. As part of their ongoing growth, they are now seeking a Lead Technical Architect with deep expertise in systems delivery assurance and integration architectures.

Key Requirements

We are looking for a senior-level technical architect with a strong track record in leading architecture across complex and secure projects. You should bring:

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale, secure systems
  • Expertise in application and integration architecture within high-assurance environments
  • Strong understanding of architecture governance and frameworks
  • Ability to operate across delivery assurance, technical strategy, and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated experience working with major IT service providers and within secure government environments
  • Familiarity with NCSC guidance, GDPR, and other relevant security frameworks
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
Role & Responsibilities

As Lead Technical Architect, you will act as a technical authority across high-profile projects, working closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and suppliers to ensure alignment with strategic and operational goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading architecture design, systems integration, and technical assurance
  • Providing strategic technical direction, mentoring other engineers and architects
  • Overseeing technology roadmaps, evaluating suppliers, and ensuring solution quality
  • Ensuring compliance with security and data governance standards
  • Participating in design authorities and technical governance forums
  • Supporting the delivery of robust, secure, and scalable systems
