Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Conveyancing Assistant to join our thriving Residential Property team based in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and collaborative environment, working alongside one of the most respected Conveyancing Teams in the Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and East Midlands regions.
The team handles a broad range of residential property matters including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity, equity release, landlord purchases, shared ownership, and new builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising with stakeholders including clients, banks, building societies, and estate agents
- Completing SDLT forms and handling registrations and post-completion tasks
- Opening client files using the Firm’s case management system
- Sending quotes and taking initial instructions from clients
- Preparing completion documentation, accounts letters, SDLT submissions, and invoices
- Drafting Contracts for Sale and supporting the general day-to-day running of sale files through to exchange
- Reporting to clients on mortgage offers
- Checking searches, raising enquiries, and drafting/preparing search reports
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant in a busy residential property department
- A proactive, client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy
- A high level of IT literacy, ideally with experience of legal case management systems
