We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Commissioning Officer to join our Age Well Commissioning Team. This role focuses on supporting older people across residential and nursing care services, ensuring individuals receive high-quality, person-centred support in environments that promote dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
Working closely with providers, health partners, operational colleagues and wider stakeholders, you will contribute to the development of sustainable, high-quality services that meet both current and future needs across Walsall's ageing population. This is a strategically important area of development, presenting significant opportunities to influence the future residential and nursing care market and shape innovative approaches to supporting older people.
The postholder will lead and support a range of commissioning projects and business-as-usual activity, helping to build a resilient and sustainable care market whilst driving continuous improvement in service quality and outcomes.

About You: You will have experience of commissioning, service development, contract management, project delivery or partnership working within health, social care or related public service environments. You will be able to demonstrate:
