Following a review of our commissioning functions across the council, we are developing a new approach focused on impactful commissioning, securing outcomes that matter, drawing upon more collaborative and joint/multidisciplinary approaches and adopting more of a people and place-based perspective.
We will achieve this through a substantial investment in commissioning that brings together four key areas of commissioning across the Council to create a more integrated approach to Health, Care, and Communities. Commissioning Support Unit
An exciting new team for Commissioning that will shape and inform the new approach to commissioning. The roles will lead on strategic commissioning areas for Adults. There are further opportunities working around financial support services, brokerage and the approach to Quality. This is a new role that will be part of a new Quality Team in the Commissioning Support Unit. You will work with commissioned Providers to audit activity and compliance and support providers to put in place improvement plans. Quality is a central issue for commissioning and these roles will be at the heart of how we work with Providers.
