The predicted salary is between 55662 - 59490 £ per year.
You will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of parking, moving traffic and bus lane enforcement, council-owned car parks, parking permits, and customer enquiries. As part of the Group Management Team, you will help shape service delivery, manage budgets and contracts, and represent the Council at local, regional, and national forums.
You will have significant experience in parking, moving traffic and bus lane enforcement or a similar regulatory service with:
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience of managing budgets, contracts, and external suppliers
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policy frameworks
- A commitment to equality, safeguarding, and continuous professional development
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the Parking Services team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services
- Develop and implement parking strategies, policies, and improvement programmes
- Manage parking, moving traffic and bus lane enforcement operations, including appeals
- Oversee budgets, income, contracts, and external providers ensuring value for money
- Engage with elected members, senior officers, partners, and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement and compliance with legislation and best practice
A postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience is required. Professional membership (e.g. ICE, CIHT) is desirable.
