Responsibilities:

  • Provide EP services to schools and lead multi‑agency support for settings focusing on systemic and organisational change and whole‑school strategic support for inclusion.
  • Contribute to the Targeted and Specialist offerings through the creative application of psychology.
  • Support the delivery of central training to schools, including ELSA, EBSA and SCERTS.
  • Deliver supervision to ELSAs across Walsall schools.
  • Develop and deliver an early‑intervention project aligned to your area of interest and local authority SEND priorities; all EPs have half a day weekly protected time for this work.
  • Contribute psychological advice to EHC needs assessments and other statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Eligibility:

  • Qualified Educational Psychologist with a relevant professional qualification and HCPC registration, or eligible to register upon completion of qualification.
  • Applicants in Year 2 or 3 of the professional training course may apply.
  • For roles requiring enhanced DBS clearance, applicants must declare any periods of time spent abroad and provide an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) relating to those times.
