Overview

The post holder is to support the Care Group Support Officer (CGSO) in the operational management and delivery of Divisional priorities. They will facilitate the provision of high quality administrative support to the Care Group Management team. They will support the CGSO in ensuring patients are proactively managed and monitored to support the delivery of the Trust 18 week RTT target, and ensure ongoing compliance with national and local waiting time targets. The post holder will support the CGSO in effective liaison with patients and clinicians to ensure Trust targets are met.

Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient administrative support to the Care Group and the Division, supporting medical specialties under Long Term Conditions and the wider Division.
  • Assist in operational management to deliver Divisional priorities and maintain compliance with waiting time targets.
  • Facilitate liaison with patients, clinicians and external stakeholders to support timely care delivery.
  • Identify, escalate and help resolve patient pathway issues related to 18 week delivery; maintain attention to detail and organised workload management.
  • Utilise Trust IT systems (eg. Careflow and Fusion) and other administrative tools; adapt to changing demands within the division.
  • Act as a point of contact for members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team and external stakeholders; manage workload within defined guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Well organised with attention to detail; proactive and adaptable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience of working within Trust IT systems, such as Careflow and Fusion (training will be provided).
  • Experience in an administrative setting, preferably within healthcare.
  • Positive team player with flexibility to respond to changing demands.

Additional Information

The post holder will work 37.5 hours per week. Training for the systems used will be provided. The Trust reserves the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a high number of applications; applicants are encouraged to submit early.
