School Business Manager - permanent post

G8 SCP 26-31 pro-rata\'d (actual salary £32,495-£37,236)
Required for 37 hours a week, term time only inc inset days to start as soon as possible.

Overview
- Overall Purpose of the Job: To give strategic vision and leadership to all aspects of Budget, Finance, Personnel and Premises. To lead, operate, maintain the financial procedures and systems of the school. To function as line manager for all admin staff, lunchtime supervisors and premises staff. Ensure the school is fully prepared to meet Ofsted personnel requirements through correct recruitment procedures and maintenance of Single Central Record. To lead, operate and maintain procedures and systems of the school for all aspects of Health & Safety, and Premises Compliance. To liaise with external parties relating to Service Level Agreements and external auditors. To liaise with school HR/Personnel and Payroll provider. To be an integral part of the senior management team, and be in attendance at governor meetings. To oversee correct data collection and MIS within school and termly production of school census. To oversee financial management of the Extended Schools Facility.
Experience
- Experience of Budget Monitoring and Account Reconciliation. Experience of managing a range of clerical and administrative duties. Experience of HR and input of information to HR systems.
- Experience of Health and Safety legislation and how to manage schools safely.
Skills and Abilities :
- Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner, producing accurate records and reports. Ability to communicate with a range of audiences including other employees within the school, governors, pupils, parents and outside agencies. Ability to identify work priorities and manage own workload, and show sensitivity and objectivity in dealing with confidential issues.
