Overview

Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy is an oversubscribed secondary academy with over 1400 students on roll at Key Stages 3-5. We are driven by outcomes, values and choices, building strong relationships based on respect at all levels. Working arrangements are flexible, with flexitime, full or part time and job sharing available. Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with employer and others to ensure the academy fulfils its duty to students to inspire them about the world of work
• Inspire students to think about their future possibilities, to aim high, motivate them in school as well as beyond and ensure they are informed about their options
• Assess students\’ current strengths and areas for development to enable them to acquire the skills valued by employers
• Promote and actively support the Academy\’s responsibilities towards safeguarding

Qualifications

• Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice
• Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Advice (or other relevant degree)
• Consideration will be given to candidates currently working towards a Level 6
• Successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check and suitable references
