Overview

We are seeking fixed full time dedicated and empathetic Key Worker to join our new Young & Thriving Team within Children\\\’s Services Family Help. The successful candidate will offer practical, emotional, and evidence based intensive support to parents and carers, including those whose children are on child protection plans or where their children have been removed from their care, based on the principles and practice model of the service. The successful candidates will be part of a new multi-disciplinary team working closely with other practitioners within the Young & Thriving Hub to ensure a holistic approach to family support.

Note: Applicants appointed to posts that require an enhanced DBS clearance must declare any periods of time that they have lived, studied or worked abroad and be prepared to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or a Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) relating to anytime they were overseas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical, emotional, and evidence based intensive support to parents and carers.
  • Work with families whose children are on child protection plans or where children have been removed from care, in line with the service\\\’s model.
  • Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Young & Thriving Hub to ensure holistic family support.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 in early years, health, or social care, and/or 12 months experience working with children and families.
