We’re looking for motivated, responsible, and customer‑focused Lifeguards to help keep our swimmers safe and our leisure environment clean and welcoming for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise poolside activity and ensure safety of swimmers at all times.
- Respond confidently to emergencies.
- Deliver excellent customer service and provide a positive experience for all visitors.
- Assist with equipment set‑ups and centre cleanliness.
- Present and deliver all services within the leisure centre with high quality and safe supervision of customers.
- Support the presentation of services and assist in daytime and evening sessions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current NPLQ qualification; RLSS Pool Lifeguarding qualification preferred.
- Good communication skills with a calm, proactive and safety‑minded approach.
- Completion of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Experience in a front‑line customer service environment.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- English language fluency as required by the Government’s Code of Practice.
Training & Development
Opportunities to upskill and attend further training in swimming teaching, relief duty management, centre assistant and gym instructor work are available.
