Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated “can do” individual to join our Virtual Ward Team. This role supports the practitioner in charge of the shift, assisting with the management of patients on the virtual ward across Walsall. You will need to be competent in computer systems, have experience delivering high quality patient centred care in the acute setting or the patients own home, and be able to work flexibly across 7 days of a 7 day service that operates 24/7. Excellent communication skills and multi‑disciplinary/multi‑agency working experience are required. The vacancy may close early if we receive a high number of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Visit patients in their own home to support with care and clinical treatment required.
  • Report findings and act on the team leader’s instruction.
  • Support the team leader with promotion of the service.
  • Support the team leader with data collection and inputting.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification / experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize relevant IT software.
  • Ability to travel independently across the Borough during the working day.
  • Ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the service.

Contract and Working Pattern

Permanent contract, full‑time, part‑time work pattern.

Salary

Band 3 – £24,937 to £26,598 a year per annum.
